Attention funk fans! The LA-based funk ensemble formally known as The Soulfire Collective will now be known as Mestizo Beat.
Mestizo is the Spanish word for miscegenation which by definition means the general process of mixing ancestries and culture, which is a great word to describe our musicians and genre. With this powerful transformation we are excited to announce our new EP, new 7 inch single, festival shows, and live videos.
It is our cultural differences that make the world go round, introduces us to new ideas and perspectives, and brings us together to create the ultimate vibration of love, peace, and unity. Mestizo Beat – music for the people.
